The Physician Assistant (PA) – Mobile Wound Care, Per Diem role is an onsite position based in Covina, CA, with visits in patients’ homes and community settings. Compensation is $100 per completed patient visit and $100 per hour for required training, meetings, and designated non-visit work; eligible business mileage is reimbursed. The role supports Dermacore Wound Care’s mobile team and its goal of bringing patient-centered wound care to people who need it. The PA assesses and treats wounds, monitors healing, documents care, and coordinates with patients, caregivers, referring agencies, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team. The position helps maintain continuity of care and identify when a patient may need a higher level of care.

What you'll do

• Assess patients and wounds
• develop individualized treatment plans
• provide wound care visits and procedures within scope and privileges
• manage wound-related recommendations and orders
• monitor progress and adjust plans
• complete timely clinical documentation
• communicate with patients, caregivers, agencies, physicians, and care teams
• escalate concerns when appropriate
• participate in clinical education, quality initiatives, and meetings
• maintain compliance with clinical standards, HIPAA, and applicable regulations.
