Project Lead II

Job overview

The Project Lead II role is onsite in North Las Vegas, NV, and pays $85,000–$110,000 per year. Arcata Associates provides technical services supporting defense, science, aeronautics, and space; the role supports the J-Tech II contract’s Air Force pilot training systems and test-range activities. The project lead serves as the central interface among engineering teams, customers, and vendors to plan and execute system upgrades, replacements, and deployments. The role manages scope, schedule, resources, budget, risks, documentation, and delivery through project closure and transition to operations and maintenance.

What you'll do

• Develop project scope with customers and project engineers
• create schedules and critical paths
• identify stakeholders and resource needs
• develop vendor subcontracts and manage vendors
• serve as point of contact for Government, vendors, and company
• ensure systems engineering processes are followed
• review and approve project documentation
• manage budgets and risks
• track deliverables and performance
• report progress
• archive lessons learned and project data
• resolve data issues
• ensure project closure and transition to operations and maintenance
• travel overnight to remote sites and vendor facilities, with field integration trips potentially weekly.
