What you'll do

• Perform venipuncture and urine specimen collection
• select collection sites and materials based on patient and test needs
• prepare specimens for collection and transport
• assist with specimen processing, including centrifugation and aliquoting under guidance
• perform glucose tolerance testing
• help train personnel in collection techniques
• disinfect and close the phlebotomy room
• and communicate laboratory status and problems.
