Product Development Engineer

Job overview

The Product Development Engineer role is onsite in Apex, NC, with a Monday–Friday first shift from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Compensation is not specified. Polyzen develops and manufactures customized polymer-based materials and device assemblies to help customers bring technologies from concept to commercialization. The engineer supports development, validation, and commercialization of custom device components and assemblies. By coordinating with senior engineers and cross-functional partners, the role helps translate customer needs into scalable manufacturing processes while maintaining documentation and quality compliance.

What you'll do

• Support new product development projects across product life-cycle stages
• communicate project status to stakeholders
• assist with design and manufacturing processes for production scalability
• identify tooling, fixtures, and equipment
• support transition from development to commercial manufacturing
• document development phases and maintain and interpret data
• review SOPs, work instructions, batch records, specifications, and qualification protocols and reports
• provide technical input to senior engineers and support Quality Assurance non-conformance investigations.
