Assistant Manager, Base Area Operations — Hourly is an onsite, full-time seasonal role in Leavenworth, WA. Pay is $25.00–$28.60 per hour. The position supports Vail Resorts’ parking team at Stevens Pass and is intended to help develop a candidate toward a manager role. The assistant manager supervises frontline crews and helps coordinate parking, roads, and snow-clearing operations. The role supports safe, efficient service for guests and staff through team leadership, operational planning, equipment oversight, documentation, and adherence to safety procedures.
What you'll do
- Supervise frontline crews, including orientation, training, conflict resolution, operational planning, meetings, and one-on-ones with lead hands
- promote cooperative teamwork and guest service
- use judgment in routine and emergency situations
- safely operate roads, parking, and snow-clearing operations
- coordinate with other departments
- relay work orders, respond to complaints, and monitor maintenance and quality
- document frontline duties and report incidents or equipment damage
- ensure safety procedures are followed for vehicles and equipment
- assist with staff selection, training, and development
- understand janitorial equipment procedures and maintenance.
