The Validation Engineer 2, Platform Validation & System Debug role is onsite in Austin, TX, with compensation of $52–$55 per hour. The engineer works with a platform validation and bring-up team across hardware, firmware, BIOS, operating systems, and silicon. The role exists to identify, isolate, and resolve system issues throughout the product lifecycle, supporting product quality and customer experience. Hands-on investigation, automation, and cross-functional collaboration help engineering teams move from issue discovery to corrective action.

What you'll do

• Drive system bring-up, validation, and debug from pre-silicon development through post-silicon product validation
• investigate hardware, firmware, BIOS, operating system, and platform issues
• perform root-cause analysis using lab equipment
• develop and maintain debug automation, validation frameworks, and troubleshooting utilities
• analyze logs, traces, telemetry, and hardware captures
• collaborate with design, firmware, BIOS, software, validation, and tools teams
• lead technical investigations and communicate findings
• document procedures and findings
• support customer enablement and field issue resolution.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor's or master's degree in a related technical field and hands-on system validation, platform bring-up, and hardware debug experience.
