What you'll do

• Dispense unit-dose medications, intravenous admixtures, and other pharmaceuticals
• interpret physician medication orders and clarify unclear orders
• identify and monitor patients’ pharmaceutical needs
• review charts or interview patients and care providers to obtain medication information
• identify potential drug-therapy problems and recommend solutions
• provide drug and poison information to patients and healthcare professionals.
