Director, School-Based Health Services

The Director, School-Based Health Services role is onsite in Middletown, CT, with compensation of $120,000–$140,000 per year. The Community Health Center program operates more than 150 school-based health centers providing medical, dental, and behavioral health services throughout Connecticut. The director leads program operations and staff, working with clinical, executive, finance, and school partners to support access to care and achieve clinical and business goals. The role monitors performance, compliance, enrollment, and funding while improving workflows and strengthening school and community partnerships.

What you'll do

• Manage program operations and services
• set performance objectives and monitor operational and financial results
• partner with school administrators and clinical leadership
• support coordinated care and workflow improvement
• oversee enrollment, outreach, grant applications, and reporting
• support hiring and staff development
• maintain accreditation and regulatory compliance
• coordinate openings of new school-based locations
• visit schools and participate in community committees.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree, at least five years of healthcare services experience including program oversight and outreach, and at least three years of managerial experience. Regular regional travel throughout Connecticut is required.
