The Field Service Equipment Technician, Recycling Machinery role is based onsite in Aurora, IL, with most work involving travel to customer sites in the Chicagoland area and a 250-mile radius; in-shop work is also part of the role. Pay is $25–$28 per hour. The technician supports customer equipment uptime and service needs. The technician installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains recycling machinery, including balers and conveyors, at customer locations and in the company shop. The work contributes to equipment reliability through mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs, customer guidance, and accurate service records.

What you'll do

• Travel to customer locations to install, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machinery
• maintain hydraulic pumps, valves, and cylinders
• interpret electrical schematics and repair electrical faults
• troubleshoot mechanical components
• perform light welding as needed
• maintain balers, conveyors, and other recycling machinery
• advise customers
• record maintenance, repairs, parts, and equipment status
• follow safety protocols.
