The Plumbing Instructor role is onsite in Hilliard, OH. Compensation is not specified. The instructor leads Gutridge’s plumbing apprenticeship program at a construction and service company serving the greater central Ohio marketplace. The instructor teaches classroom, virtual, and hands-on material, mentors apprentices and employees, and maintains program records and accreditation documentation. The role helps prepare apprentices for the Ohio Journeyperson Licensing Exam and align training with field practices.

What you'll do

• Prepare and deliver classroom and virtual instruction aligned with NCCER Plumbing Levels I–IV and Core curriculum and the current Ohio Plumbing Code
• lead hands-on lab training
• maintain student attendance, OJT hours, grades, and module and performance records
• ensure training documentation meets NCCER accreditation standards
• enforce OSHA safety standards
• mentor apprentices and employees
• conduct jobsite visits
• collaborate with division leadership, HR, and instructors
• assist with training budgets
• participate in curriculum updates, instructor development, accreditation, and program improvement.

Why this role

NCCER Certified Plumbing Instructor credential required or obtainable within a specified timeframe; requires four years of documented experience as a state-licensed journeyperson or master plumber, or three years as a certified vocational/technical instructor in plumbing or a related program. Classes meet twice weekly, 5:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.
