CAD/BIM Support Technician

Job overview

The CAD/BIM Support Technician role is onsite in Sacramento, CA, with an hourly pay range of $25–$30. The position supports TYPSA’s digital, CAD, and discipline production teams on infrastructure design projects. The technician supports controlled CAD and BIM production workflows, document management, and deliverable quality across linear infrastructure projects. The role helps engineering teams maintain standards, resolve production issues, coordinate digital tools, and prepare accurate project submissions.

What you'll do

• Support DGN and DWG drawing and model production using MicroStation, OpenRoads/OpenRail, Civil 3D/AutoCAD, and related tools
• assist with Bentley ProjectWise environment configuration and support
• guide file states, version control, metadata, references, and deliverable packaging
• troubleshoot ProjectWise and production issues
• support interoperability between ProjectWise and Autodesk tools
• review CAD files for standards compliance
• support sheet and drawing deliverables
• provide user guidance and light training
• maintain workflow guides and training materials
• assist with pre-submittal QA/QC
• coordinate with BIM, CAD, information management, and discipline leads.
