The Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) — First Shift is an onsite role in Rock Hill, SC. Compensation is $16–$19 per hour. Carolina Veterinary Specialists - Rock Hill is a veterinary hospital team focused on compassionate care for animals and their families. The Care Coordinator supports hospital operations by handling administrative and customer-service tasks, coordinating appointments and lobby flow, and helping clients navigate services during routine and high-stress situations. The role supports doctors and clinical teams so they can deliver care to patients and their families.

What you'll do

• Provide customer service in person and by phone, including during high-stress situations
• manage lobby flow, address concerns, calm distressed owners, and schedule appointments
• assist with basic medical emergencies for pets and owners
• assist with medication pickups and inquiries
• enter and manage data in practice management software, including billing and accounts
• assist with retail sales, weighing pets, faxes, and records
• reconcile the cash drawer and complete end-of-day financial duties.

Why this role

Full-time schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM. Schedule changes to cover other employees’ paid time off may be made with at least two weeks’ notice. Veterinary or medical office experience is a plus but not required.
