The Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) – Day Habilitation Program role is an onsite, full-time position in New York, NY, with an annual salary of $52,000–$60,000. QSAC supports children and adults with autism and their families through person-centered services that promote independence and community participation. The specialist develops and monitors behavior support plans and individual goals, reviews progress data, and coordinates active treatment in line with OPWDD requirements. The role also trains and supports Direct Support Professionals in applied behavior analysis strategies and contributes to interdisciplinary planning and client services.
What you'll do
- Develop, monitor, assess, and revise individual goals and behavior support plans
- review progress data and provide monthly updates
- maintain clinical documentation and track required reports
- participate in interdisciplinary meetings and assist with intake
- train Direct Support Professionals in applied behavior analysis and goal implementation
- observe staff and provide feedback
- support communication with families and program staff.

Why this role
Master’s degree in a human services field is required; experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities or autism is required. ABA experience is preferred.
