• use precision measuring instruments and hand and power tools

• work on shipboard systems and auxiliary equipment
• apply knowledge of metals in repair and fabrication
• inspect work for quality
• guide and train junior craftsmen when required
• follow applicable safety and technical standards
• be available for overtime, weekends, or alternate-site travel when project needs demand.
