Staff Accountant – Commercial Property Accounting

The Staff Accountant – Commercial Property Accounting role is office-based in Indianapolis, IN, with compensation of $65,000–$85,000 annually. The accountant maintains accurate entity-level books and delivers timely monthly financial packages to property owners. The role also supports budgets, common-area maintenance reconciliations, audits, and lender reporting.

What you'll do

• Maintain general ledgers for assigned properties and ownership entities
• record accruals, prepaids, depreciation, amortization, and intercompany activity. Maintain lease charges and recurring tenant billings, post receipts, monitor delinquencies, and prepare aged receivables reports. Review vendor invoices, process payment runs, monitor operating cash, and prepare reconciliations. Complete monthly bank, balance-sheet, and loan reconciliations
• prepare owner reporting packages and variance explanations
• support budgets, CAM, tax, and insurance reconciliations, capital-project tracking, 1099s, audit schedules, tax workpapers, lender reporting, and process improvements.
