Staff Systems Engineer

Job overview

The Staff Systems Engineer role is onsite in Winter Springs, FL, five days per week for the first 4–6 months, then four days per week onsite, including Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with the fourth day alternating between Tuesday or Friday. Compensation is not specified. The engineer supports ITI Engineering’s development of advanced military electronics and computing products for aerospace and commercial customers. The role exists to provide cross-functional technical leadership from system architecture through implementation, integration, and verification. By resolving complex engineering issues, leading technical reviews, mentoring engineers, and supporting customer engagements, the engineer helps deliver reliable mission-support products.

What you'll do

• Develop system concepts, architectures, requirements, trade studies, and technical solutions
• lead technical exploration, prototyping, breadboarding, proof-of-concept work, and feasibility assessments
• provide hands-on schematic review, board bring-up, electronics debugging, firmware/software troubleshooting, and computing and networking diagnostics
• resolve cross-functional integration issues
• lead technical reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR
• identify technical risks and drive resolution
• develop proposals, CDRLs, and engineering documentation
• serve as a technical interface with customers and partners
• mentor engineers and review designs
• collaborate on product opportunities and technical roadmaps
• support environmental and EMC/EMI qualification activities
• travel up to 10%, including occasional international travel.
