Project Coordinator — Construction

Job overview

The Project Coordinator role is primarily onsite in Jacksonville, FL, in an office environment; occasional project-site visits with a Project Manager may occur. Compensation is not specified. The role supports Norlee Group’s integrated electrical, mechanical, and technology construction projects. Working under a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, the coordinator helps organize project documentation, schedules, procurement, and communications. The role supports timely project execution by tracking assigned tasks, maintaining accurate records, and escalating issues to project managers.

What you'll do

• Assist with scheduling and task tracking
• organize contracts, permits, submittals, and compliance documents
• track RFIs and coordinate responses
• prepare meeting minutes
• coordinate material orders, deliveries, and inventory
• communicate updates to field crews
• support contract and change-order review
• verify insurance requirements and subcontractor agreements
• research general contractors and competitors
• maintain bid and pending-project lists
• facilitate contract approvals and project setup
• use project-management software
• conduct quality checks and escalate issues.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma; associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline is strongly preferred. Candidates should have 0–2 years of construction, project-support, or related trade experience. Procore, Bluebeam, and Kojo familiarity is noted.
