Staff Accountant — Corporate Accounting

The Staff Accountant role is onsite in Columbus, OH; compensation is not specified. M/I Homes is a homebuilder that has served homeowners for more than 50 years and operates across multiple markets. As part of the Corporate Accounting Team, the accountant supports operating divisions through financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, and audit assistance. The work helps maintain accurate financial records and supports division accounting and month-end activities.

What you'll do

• Prepare monthly financial statements for operations and joint ventures
• prepare monthly balance-sheet account reconciliations and assist with quarterly reconciliations
• prepare, review, and post routine and non-routine journal entries
• reinforce company policies and procedures
• work with the VP of Finance on division accounting issues and month-end transactions
• provide JD Edwards and InsightSoftware support
• assist with annual division audits and provide auditor schedules and reports.
