The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) — Per Diem role is onsite in Auburn, CA, and pays $20–$26 per hour. The Sisters of Mercy’s mission is to respond with vision and compassion to the needs of people who are poor, sick, and uneducated. The CNA provides direct care to Sisters of Mercy residents under a licensed nurse’s supervision, following individualized care plans and required standards. The work supports residents’ dignity, comfort, safety, and daily well-being through personal care, mobility assistance, nutrition support, and engagement.

What you'll do

• Provide personal care including bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, skin and nail care, and grooming
• assist with meals, snacks, and hydration
• respond to call lights and communicate resident needs to nursing staff
• engage residents in activities such as reading, walking, games, and conversation
• maintain clean and orderly resident and shared areas
• set up dining areas and stock supplies and linens
• transport, ambulate, and transfer residents using assistive devices
• follow nursing policies and standards of care
• participate in staff meetings and care conferences as required
• follow safety procedures and report hazards or incidents.
