It supports Plant Operations across Nexus Children’s Hospitals in the Houston Market, helping keep facilities, physical plant systems, and equipment safe and reliable. The role exists to maintain hospital plumbing systems and assist with broader facility upkeep, supporting a properly maintained environment for patients, families, employees, and visitors. It handles plumbing troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance, while assisting with other building systems and maintenance needs as required.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, replace, and maintain plumbing systems and related equipment
• inspect systems for leaks and potential failures
• perform preventive maintenance
• respond to plumbing emergencies and service requests
• assist with plumbing modifications for renovations and equipment installations
• interpret blueprints and schematics
• maintain parts, tools, and documentation
• assist with general facility maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, painting, and carpentry as needed
• follow hospital safety and infection-prevention procedures.

Why this role

A current Texas plumbing license is strongly preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of professional plumbing, commercial building maintenance, or related facilities experience are required.
