The Workers’ Compensation Paralegal role is onsite in Charlotte, NC, with stated compensation of $45,760 per year. Shankle Law Firm represents injured workers and their families in workers’ compensation and personal injury matters. The paralegal manages workers’ compensation cases from client intake through settlement, maintaining case files, gathering records, preparing filings, and coordinating hearings and mediation. The role also communicates with clients in English and Spanish and helps them understand case progress and settlement documents.

What you'll do

• Open matters and set up electronic files in Clio Work/Manage
• request and track medical records and bills
• collect and verify wage information
• file Form 33 hearing requests and draft motions, interrogatories, and job description letters
• use the NCIC portal
• check and reconfirm liens
• prepare cases for mediation and hearings
• assemble demand information
• handle Medicare Set-Aside notices, Form 24 filings, and claim withdrawals when needed
• conduct intakes and update clients in English and Spanish.

Why this role

Monday–Thursday 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; English fluency required and Spanish is a plus; paralegal certificate or North Carolina certification preferred but not required.
