HEAP Intake Specialist

What you'll do

• Evaluate HEAP eligibility and applications
• interview applicants in person or by phone to collect housing, demographic, and income information
• help applicants provide required documentation
• respond to heating and utility emergencies
• enter data
• assist with outreach and publicity in partnership with DHS and community organizations
• maintain the office and follow health and safety guidance
• participate in agency meetings and training.

Why this role

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m., beginning October 26. Requires an associate degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related area; one year of experience working within program guidelines; and First Aid and CPR certification within 90 days after hire.
