Maintenance Technician I

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician I role is onsite in Oak Ridge, NJ, and pays $20 per hour. The position supports Catholic Charities’ Department for Persons with Disabilities, which provides care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes. The technician performs maintenance and repairs across agency properties, helping keep residential and other spaces safe and functional for service recipients and staff. The work includes completing prioritized work orders, supporting moves and agency events, maintaining grounds and vehicles, and assisting the Maintenance Technician II.

What you'll do

• Perform general maintenance and repairs at residential and other agency properties
• coordinate daily priorities with the Director of Operations or designee
• complete work orders
• support service recipient moves and agency functions
• maintain vehicles and grounds
• move furniture and equipment
• run errands
• assist the Maintenance Technician II
• follow safety, agency, Medicaid, and regulatory requirements.
