The role leads Arc’teryx’s Global Footwear team, which develops products for climbing, hiking, and trail running. The vice president sets the long-term creative and innovation direction for footwear, connecting athlete insight, design, performance, materials, and sustainability. The role leads a global team and partners across product, development, sourcing, manufacturing, merchandising, and brand to bring differentiated footwear platforms from exploration through commercialization.

What you'll do

• Define the global footwear design and innovation vision and multi-year roadmap
• identify opportunities in performance, biomechanics, materials science, sustainability, and digital product creation
• evolve footwear design ethos and visual identity
• lead scalable innovation platforms and prototyping
• ensure innovations are manufacturable and integrated into products
• embed sustainability and circular design
• partner across product, development, sourcing, manufacturing, merchandising, and brand
• represent the function in executive forums
• build, lead, and develop a global team.

Why this role

Requires 15+ years of leadership experience in footwear innovation, design, engineering, or advanced product creation; a bachelor’s degree in industrial or product design or equivalent experience; and willingness and ability to travel globally as required.
