Per Diem Physician

The Per Diem Physician is an onsite role serving Washington, DC and/or Hyattsville, MD, with compensation of $100–$112 per hour. The position is in La Clínica del Pueblo’s Patient Services department, a community health center focused on culturally responsive, integrated care and health equity. The physician provides comprehensive primary care across the lifespan, including preventive, acute, and chronic care. Working with interdisciplinary teams, the physician supports whole-person care through clinical assessment, treatment planning, patient education, referrals, accurate documentation, and quality improvement activities.

What you'll do

• Provide primary care, preventive care, acute visits, and chronic condition management
• conduct histories, examinations, assessments, and diagnostic evaluations
• develop and implement treatment plans
• provide screenings, health maintenance, and patient education
• deliver culturally responsive, trauma-informed, linguistically appropriate care
• document encounters in the electronic health record
• review outside records and diagnostic results
• coordinate referrals and services
• collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in team meetings and shared care planning
• participate in continuing education, training, quality improvement, and risk management
• complete clinical documentation and lock progress notes within 48 hours.
