Job overview

The Child Development Specialist / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) role is onsite in clinic and community preschool settings in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, and surrounding areas. The stated pay is $23–$25 per hour, with approximately 20 hours per week scheduled Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The Waverly Group is a multidisciplinary pediatric therapy center serving children, families, and schools. The specialist provides individualized, play-based support to preschool-aged children with autism, helping them communicate, participate, learn, build relationships, and develop independence. Working under a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, the role contributes to children’s skill development through individualized programs, documentation, and collaboration with families, teachers, and clinicians.

What you'll do

  • Work with preschool-aged children with autism in clinic and community preschool settings
  • build supportive relationships through play
  • teach communication, social, play, cognitive, adaptive, and daily living skills
  • implement individualized programs under BCBA supervision
  • collect data and maintain clinical documentation
  • collaborate with teachers, families, and care-team members
  • participate in supervision, training, and case consultation.
