Activities Assistant

The Activities Assistant role is onsite in Annandale, VA; compensation is $15–$20 per hour. August Healthcare at Leewood seeks an assistant to support residents’ emotional well-being, engagement, and quality of life. The assistant helps plan and facilitate recreational, social, and enrichment activities, encourages resident participation, and provides one-on-one engagement when needed. The role also coordinates with nursing and other departments to support residents’ daily experience.

What you'll do

• Assist with planning and facilitating group and individual activities
• encourage resident participation
• observe and document engagement, mood, and responses
• escort residents to activities
• assist with events and activity-area setup
• provide one-on-one engagement as needed
• coordinate with other departments
• and drive a facility vehicle for outings as assigned.
