What you'll do
- Lead estimating and bid development for structural bridge and related DOT projects
- perform quantity take-offs from civil, structural, and bridge drawings
- build estimates and bid strategies using HCSS HeavyBid or comparable software
- analyze labor, materials, equipment, production rates, subcontractor pricing, schedules, and risks
- review DOT plans and contract documents
- solicit and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotes
- identify constructability concerns and scope gaps
- participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, bid reviews, and turnover meetings
- support change-order pricing, RFIs, and estimating records.
