The Preschool Teacher Assistant is an onsite role in Tacoma, WA, with an hourly pay range of $17.56–$22.56. The assistant supports Cadence Education’s classroom programs and its work to create bright futures for children, families, and educators. Working under the School Director and classroom leadership, the assistant helps maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. The role supports developmentally appropriate activities and children’s physical, social, emotional, developmental, and behavioral needs while following safety and licensing requirements.

What you'll do

• Support a respectful classroom environment
• welcome children and families
• assist with developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs
• follow directed IEPs and behavioral support plans
• communicate with families, coworkers, and leadership
• follow safety, supervision, and incident-reporting procedures
• participate in required meetings, training, and professional development.
