Homeless Shelter Site Lead

The Homeless Shelter Site Lead role is onsite in Pittsburgh, PA, at a shelter in the North Side; compensation is $28.85 per hour. The role provides operational leadership for a winter shelter site and its Shelter Site Workers.

What you'll do

• Direct and train shelter staff
• oversee daily site setup and breakdown
• ensure intake, data collection, and entry into the County’s Homeless Management Information System
• coordinate transportation
• ensure meals and resources are provided
• and work with staff, partners, and guests to de-escalate situations as needed and maintain a safe, welcoming, low-barrier environment. The seasonal position runs from November 18 through mid-March, with five shifts per week
• the shelter operates seven days a week with shifts from 5:30 p.m.–1:30 a.m. and 1:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m.
