The Per Diem Detox Attendant – Overnight Float role is onsite in Portland, ME. Compensation is $20 per hour, with applicable shift differentials of $2.50 per hour for weekend or overnight work and $5 per hour for weekend overnight work. Milestone Recovery’s mission is to support people experiencing substance use disorders, mental illnesses, and homelessness. The attendant assists detox staff with patient health-care plans and supports the Medically Monitored Withdrawal Unit, with cross-training in the 28-day Residential Program. The role contributes to patient care by observing health, reporting concerns, supporting unit routines, and maintaining accurate confidential records.

What you'll do

• Assist nursing staff with patient health treatment plans under staff nurse and program manager supervision
• observe patients’ overall health and promptly report adverse findings
• support the Detoxification Unit’s daily schedule, sanitation, and interdepartmental coordination
• maintain accurate and confidential records and reports
• may clean bodily fluids
• may have the option to pick up shifts in the Residential Program.

Why this role
