Policy Manager — West is an onsite role based at Geronimo Power’s Bloomington, MN headquarters. Pay is $135,000–$160,000 per year, plus a target annual bonus opportunity of 15%. Geronimo Power develops, owns, and operates renewable energy, energy storage, and powered data-park projects, supporting landowners and rural communities with sustainable revenue. The role exists to lead state regulatory and legislative activity across an assigned portfolio, advancing business objectives while identifying and mitigating policy risks. It contributes by coordinating with lobbyists, policymakers, industry partners, and internal teams to shape policy strategies and provide practical guidance for company priorities.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute legislative and regulatory strategies for assigned states
• work with lobbyists, legislators, trade organizations, and stakeholders to advance beneficial legislation and oppose business-risk legislation
• monitor state public utility commission activity
• lead state legislative engagement
• coordinate federal activities affecting assigned states
• participate in policy proceedings
• select and manage state lobbying firms
• represent the company in task forces and trade associations
• collaborate across internal functions
• and travel frequently within the assigned state portfolio. Current portfolio includes Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana, with Wyoming monitoring.
