The Head Start Teacher role is onsite in Marshall, MO. Compensation is $19.04 per hour. The Missouri Valley Community Action Agency’s mission is to engage communities and coordinate resources to improve the lives of people experiencing poverty; this position starts August 10, 2027. The teacher implements developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities for children, supports their learning goals, and works with families and community resources. The role also supervises the classroom Teacher Assistant and helps meet program and agency goals.

What you'll do

• Implement the Creative Curriculum and plan individual activities based on children’s developmental levels, interests, and learning goals
• document progress
• conduct family visits
• maintain child-family files
• support families in accessing community resources
• maintain a safe and developmentally appropriate learning environment
• observe and assess children
• coordinate volunteers and community learning opportunities
• and supervise the Teacher Assistant and other assigned staff.
