The Maintenance Mechanic — Food Manufacturing role is onsite in Hackettstown, NJ, with first- and second-shift options and 40 or more hours per week. Pay is $30–$45 per hour. The position supports a food manufacturing operation by maintaining production and facility equipment. The mechanic troubleshoots and repairs equipment to reduce downtime and keep operations safe and efficient. The role works with production and quality assurance teams, completes preventive maintenance records, and follows plant, USDA, SQF, GMP, and food safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment
• maintain fryers, packaging and sealing machines, conveyors, motors, bearings, belts, gearboxes, and lubrication systems
• maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, forklifts, and pallet jacks
• read manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• perform basic electrical troubleshooting
• document preventive maintenance
• respond to emergency repairs
• coordinate with outside vendors
• and follow plant safety and food safety requirements.
