Director of Development

The Director of Development role is onsite in Washington, DC. Salary is $145,000–$155,000 per year. The director leads Casey Trees’ Development Department in support of its mission to plant and protect trees in the National Capital Region. The role sets fundraising strategy, leads staff, and oversees individual and institutional giving, major gifts, donor relations, operations, and reporting. Its purpose is to secure resources that support the organization’s budget and program goals and advance its tree canopy work.

• Lead development strategy, plans, budgets, and revenue goals
• supervise and mentor development managers
• oversee annual and institutional giving programs
• cultivate and secure donor gifts
• manage major donor relationships
• coordinate donor communications
• oversee Salesforce donor data and gift processing
• track fundraising performance and department expenses.
