Residential Counselor

The Residential Counselor role is onsite in Novato, CA, and is part-time. Pay is $20–$25 per hour. Live Oaks Wellness provides residential treatment services for clients with mental health and substance use needs. The counselor supports client wellbeing and program integrity as part of the treatment team. The role includes supervision, emotional and practical support, crisis intervention, documentation, and collaboration with clinical staff and administration.

What you'll do

• Maintain professional relationships with clients and staff
• supervise and document urine analysis testing
• support client comfort and safety
• facilitate outings and educational sessions
• transport clients to meetings and appointments
• conduct contraband and room searches
• document and report client behavior
• complete intake paperwork
• provide crisis intervention and support
• collaborate with clinical staff and administration.
