What you'll do
- Clean teeth and examine oral areas, head, and neck for signs of disease
- educate patients on oral hygiene and, as applicable, take X-rays or apply fluoride or sealants
- remove deposits and stains
- record and review medical histories
- examine gums
- maintain, sharpen, and sterilize dental instruments
- provide clinical services and health education
- operate diagnostic or therapeutic equipment
- perform other duties within the scope of license.
