The Offset Web Pressman role is onsite in Lanham, MD. Pay is $27–$32 per hour. The position is with a full-service commercial print company. The press operator prepares and runs offset printing equipment to produce printed materials, verifies quality, and maintains equipment and supplies. The work includes setting controls, completing test runs, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and following manufacturer instructions; listed shifts are 6 a.m.–2 p.m., 2 p.m.–10 p.m., or 10 p.m.–6 a.m.

What you'll do

• Study job specifications and inspect equipment
• set equipment controls and complete test runs
• operate offset printing equipment and verify print quality
• perform preventive maintenance according to manufacturer instructions
• troubleshoot malfunctions, call for repairs, maintain equipment inventories, and evaluate new equipment and techniques.
