Water Treatment Operator (Class I and II)

The Water Treatment Operator (Class I and II) role is onsite at the Meta RPL IWTP and associated groundwater production wells in Monroe, LA. Compensation is not specified. The role supports water treatment operations and meaningful community projects through Waggoner Engineering. The operator monitors and adjusts treatment processes and equipment to produce industrial water that meets facility quality and quantity requirements. Sampling, process control, maintenance, and response to operational issues help maintain reliable treatment and delivery.

What you'll do

• Operate and control motors, pumps, and valves
• adjust chemical dosages
• monitor SCADA, instrumentation, water quality, and flows
• manage filter backwash and reverse-osmosis process measures
• collect samples and conduct water-quality analyses
• record data in logs and CMMS
• perform preventive and corrective maintenance within scope
• follow operating and sampling procedures
• respond to process upsets and emergencies and participate in the 24/7 on-call standby rotation. May coordinate seasonal operations or utility staff as assigned.
