Staff Development & Infection Prevention Nurse Manager

The Staff Development & Infection Prevention Nurse Manager role is onsite in Portland, OR. Pay starts at $40–$50 per hour, depending on licensure. The role leads staff development and infection prevention in a post-acute/skilled nursing setting, partnering with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team to support education, safety, and quality of care. The nurse manager strengthens clinical practice by delivering staff education and overseeing facility-wide infection prevention and control. Monitoring infection trends, supporting outbreak response, and maintaining regulatory compliance help protect residents and support consistent care.

What you'll do

• Lead staff education, onboarding, and ongoing in-service training
• design and deliver clinical education programs
• oversee facility-wide infection prevention and control programs
• monitor and report infection trends
• lead outbreak response and prevention
• ensure compliance with CDC, NHSN, OSHA, and state and federal regulations
• educate and support staff in infection-control practices.

Why this role
