The Classroom Assistant I role is onsite in Riverside, CA. Pay is $17–$21 per hour. The position supports children in care at Family Services Association’s child development program. Working under the guidance of associate or lead teachers, the assistant supervises children, supports learning and daily routines, and helps maintain a safe, welcoming classroom. The role contributes to children’s health, safety, development, and learning.

What you'll do

• Supervise children indoors and outdoors
• support arrival and departure transitions and health checks
• engage children in developmentally appropriate interactions
• implement assigned curriculum activities
• assist with meals, snacks, rest periods, and health routines
• document observations and classroom records under teacher guidance
• help maintain a hazard-free environment
• attend assigned training and meetings
• report concerns to a supervisor.

Why this role
