What you'll do

• Assist with optometry patient care, treatment, and education
• interpret prescriptions and help patients choose eyewear, consulting prescribing physicians as appropriate
• take optical measurements
• present products suited to patient comfort, fashion, and lifestyle needs
• verify product availability and processing timelines
• order eyewear from the laboratory
• check eyewear against prescription requirements before delivery
• adjust and dispense eyewear and explain use and cleaning
• answer patient questions in person and by phone, consulting optometrists and ophthalmologists as needed.
