Land Use Counsel

Land Use Counsel is an onsite role based at Zipline’s headquarters in South San Francisco, CA. The starting cash range is $160,000–$200,000 per year. Zipline’s drone delivery system provides access to food, medicine, and essential goods. The counsel leads land-use, zoning, and permitting strategy to enable deployment of customer sites and charging infrastructure. The role advises operational and cross-functional teams, works with municipalities and community stakeholders, and addresses related property-law matters.

What you'll do

• Develop land-use, zoning, and permitting strategies
• interpret and analyze municipal ordinances
• build relationships with municipalities and planning bodies
• support community engagement and represent Zipline at public hearings and stakeholder meetings
• resolve property matters involving easements, boundaries, and access rights
• partner with Operations, Real Estate, and Engineering
• advise the Legal Team on state and local issues.
