Tool and Die Repair Technician

Job overview

The Tool and Die Repair Technician role is onsite in Detroit, MI. Pay is $35–$40 per hour. The technician supports an automotive stamping facility and works with production and tool room teams to keep presses running. The role exists to maintain and repair stamping dies and tooling so production can continue. It combines troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, in-press adjustments, and repair work with support for die tryouts and production issues.

What you'll do

• Repair and maintain stamping dies
• perform in-press die repairs and adjustments
• troubleshoot die and tooling issues
• perform preventive maintenance
• grind, weld, fit, and repair tooling
• assist with die tryouts and production issues
• read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
• coordinate with production and tool room teams.
