Computer Engineer/Analyst — Naval Systems

The Computer Engineer/Analyst role is onsite in Lakehurst, NJ, with pay of $90,000–$130,000 per year. NDI Engineering provides engineering and technical services to government clients, including defense-related work, and this role supports systems delivered to the Navy. The engineer develops, modifies, and tests integrated software aligned with naval system architecture and requirements. The work spans systems engineering support, software testing and installation, cybersecurity, shipboard integration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle documentation to help sustain mission-critical data networks and systems.

What you'll do

• Support ship design specifications and review user system specifications
• provide engineering support for network products in labs, demonstrations, and fielded shipboard systems
• participate in requirements definition, development, qualification testing, integration, and troubleshooting
• install and configure software and test shipboard software
• develop, modify, enhance, and test software
• apply security controls, coding and testing standards, security tools, and code reviews
• prepare technical documentation, manuals, test plans, and reports
• assess impacts of proposed hardware and software changes
• travel for ship software installations and testing.
