The Special Education Teacher works onsite in Schuylkill Haven, PA, full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; compensation is not specified. The teacher provides individualized instruction and coordinates educational, therapeutic, and transition supports to help students build academic, functional, communication, and life skills that promote independence and preparation for adulthood.

What you'll do

• Plan and deliver instruction aligned with IEP and ILP goals
• differentiate instruction and use assistive technology and communication supports
• monitor progress and maintain records
• develop and revise IEPs and ILPs with families and multidisciplinary teams
• coordinate related-service recommendations
• direct and coach paraprofessionals
• incorporate vocational, independent-living, and community skills
• maintain a safe, supportive classroom
• communicate with families.
