Senior Mine Accountant

Job overview

The Senior Mine Accountant role is onsite in Reno, NV; compensation is $105,000–$110,000 per year. The role reports to the Controller and works with mine operations and finance colleagues. The role exists to support accurate mine-site financial reporting and controls through period-end close, reconciliations, cost analysis, and tax and royalty accounting. It contributes to audit readiness and operational decision-making by maintaining reliable financial records and collaborating with site and corporate teams.

What you'll do

• Lead month-end close
• prepare journal entries, account analyses, reports, and reconciliations
• analyze cost variances
• support accounts payable and cash calls
• calculate royalty transactions
• maintain internal controls and SOX documentation
• support audits and tax filings
• report on capital projects
• oversee payroll accounting
• and support inventory valuation and counts.
