The Residential Counselor / Therapist role is onsite in Atchison, KS, with compensation not specified. Valley Hope of Atchison provides residential drug and alcohol addiction treatment and supports lifelong recovery. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The counselor provides clinical services to patients and families, develops and updates treatment plans, assesses patient needs and progress, and coordinates follow-up and referral support to contribute to recovery in a residential treatment setting.

What you'll do

• Provide individual and group counseling, therapeutic interventions, and educational lectures
• develop and implement treatment plans
• conduct face-to-face assessments
• prepare progress reports and follow-up care
• consult with referral resources, mentors, and families
• document treatment activities and observations.
