The Assistant Teacher – Daycare & Preschool role is onsite in Oak Creek, WI. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday; pay is $16–$19 per hour based on experience and credentials. The Learning Experience - Oak Creek's early childhood education team creates classrooms where children learn through play, exploration, and positive relationships. The assistant supports lead teachers with classroom routines, learning activities, supervision, and care. The role contributes to a safe, engaging environment and positive relationships with children and families.

What you'll do

• Support lead teachers with classroom routines and learning activities
• engage children through play, art, music, movement, sensory activities, and hands-on learning
• assist with meals, diapering or toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
• supervise and guide children positively
• prepare activities and materials
• maintain a clean, safe classroom
• build relationships with children and families
• collaborate with teachers and center leadership
• provide classroom and ratio coverage
• follow Wisconsin childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.

Why this role
