The Apprentice Heavy Equipment Operator role is onsite on a union construction project in Cheyenne, WY. Earth Work Solutions builds infrastructure and performs heavy civil construction projects throughout Wyoming. Working alongside experienced operators and project supervision, the apprentice develops safe equipment-operating skills while supporting earthmoving, grading, road construction, and site development. Union apprenticeship training, inspections, documentation, and general construction duties contribute to safe project operations and a pathway toward qualified operator work.

What you'll do

• Learn to operate scrapers, rollers, articulated haul trucks, backhoes, water trucks, and other assigned equipment
• perform daily inspections and assist with basic maintenance
• follow project plans and safety requirements
• participate in union apprenticeship training and safety meetings
• complete logs and documentation
• perform general construction or labor duties as needed.
